CSX Southside Spur Is Famous!
Thanks to Lance Mindheim, Neil Besougloff was contacted on my behalf, and a few emails later, it became official: the railroad will be featured in a late 2015 issue of Model Railroader!

Track Charts
I can't for the life of me remember who sent me this, but a kind youtube emailed me some Bernie Beaver track charts and they were essential in my inspiration for the Southside spur and track planning.
The entire Southside Spur. My layout doesn't include the Tropicana trestle or the switchback, unfortunately. |
Track Plan
Here is what I have drawn for my proposed track plan. It's been through several redesigns, which I upload in the future! Anyway, Lance Mindheim was kind enough to feature this in his September 20, 2014 blog post. http://www.lancemindheim.com/blog.htm.
Beginnings
Welcome!; to the inaugural post of the CSX Southside Spur Blog. This website will follow the construction of my dream layout based on the CSX industrial trackage in St. Petersburg, Florida. I have had a lot of influence from Lance Mindheim, Byron Henderson, and Mike Confalone. I hope you enjoy witnessing the progress I make towards completing my first N scale model railroad.
